Blogging Can Be Demanding

By Vikki  //  Millennial Things  //  5 Comments

Don’t get me wrong. I love to blog. It just gets a little bit demanding sometimes especially if you are also a full-time employee like me. There will be those days when you’ll run out of topics to post, sometimes you have to “recycle” an article. And sometimes, you’re just too tired to blog. So what to do in times like these?

1. Never stop writing while the creative juices are flowing. There are just those days when you have gazillions of ideas popping out of your head. Take advantage of the situation and save these articles for later.

2. Optimize. You’ll hear this word from SEO experts. If you know which words you should write about, this should help you think of what topics to write about.

3. Invite a guest writer! This is good especially if you belong to a great support community online. No other best time to use your networking skills. You might also learn a thing or two from your guest blogger!

4. Keep an idea notebook. Ideas could sometimes come to you at the most random times or places. Just to make sure you wouldn’t forget about it, make sure you have a pen and paper handy.

These are just some of my ideas on how to beat the stress of keeping a blog. Hope these helps. If you have any other ideas, I’d love to hear about it.

  • I agree with # 1…when you’re on a roll, you’re on a roll.

Another thing a blogger can do is to read newspapers / magazines to get some insights on what might interest people…

I read the tabloid every morning.

    …hence the mentality. lol.

  • hi Vikki,
You have a beautiful, neat layout:) liked it…thanks for visiting my blogs..

I do the #4… and the longer I blogged, the more juices just keep flowing:) my writings had improved over the months and I’m just grateful that I did it. Plus, I had learned enormously from other bloggers, their points of view, the new trends although I’m not so much of a techie person but I always felt it’s nice to know some other people through their writings, speaks louder, isn’t it?
    have a wonderful Tuesday!

  • These are some great ideas. I find that the notebook idea really helps me out. I tend to carry one around me all the time. Before this, I use to have a whole bunch of ideas and then forget them all.

I can imagine how difficult it must be to write while working full time. I’m on maternity leave now so it’s a little easier.

  • Vikki! So funny kasi ito yung gusto kong gamiting layout for a WP blog I was thinking of getting. Love, love, love your site. And I totally agree. Considering that I’m online pretty much the whole day, I can’t blog anymore (personal) because I’m working on someone else’s blog! Wahaha Anyway, don’t you stop blogging because it’s great to read your ideas.

And… don’t stress too much ;) Miss you girl!

  • I just blog when I feel like it. lol
That explains why I have lots of blog sites and not knowing which one to keep.
