On Project 52

A new year.
A new camera.
What else should a girl do?
Make a Project 52.

I got my Canon 1000D on the second day of this year and believe me, I have thought of creating a Project 365.  However, I am busy (as always) so I’ve put the thought aside and focused on other things (ergo, work). After putting much thought, I’ve finally decided to create a Project 52. Less pressure and I get what I want at the same time.  So why the heck did I decide on pushing through with this project?  I realized, this is a very good way to track my progress as I learn more about photography.  I want to see how I will grow in 52 weeks.

Week 1

You can call this my exploration week.  I was fiddling at the buttons on my camera, trying to figure out what settings to use until I came up with a photo of this cute teddy bear.

Week 2

I took my C# (yep, that’s the name of my camera) to the beach!

Week 3?

To be honest, I am still contemplating on what to put for week 3.  Last night, I enjoyed playing with the long exposure function on C# and I managed to take a good picture after several attempts.  However, I am going to UP Manila later so I might see the Oblation again or prolly take a couple of snapshots of the busy streets of Padre Faura.  We’ll see…

    Thanks Daal! Let’s do a photomarathon one of these days. I’m gonna invite you and Mark and all the other Biochem peeps who own a DSLR. :)

    Hi Honey! Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, but this hobby (believe it or not) is not taking most of my time. I only take photos once a week. But of course I’d love to do street photography although it’s a bit scary to do it along Faura. Haha. See you in the lab soon! :)
